Max Verstappen — Red Bull Racing

The first race back from the summer break provided F1 fans a pretty good show. Veteran drivers Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel showed just how good they are. This weekend also showed the skill of Fernando Alonso. My boy literally out drove his McLaren Honda…that’s pretty incredible.

There was also more disappointment for Max Verstappen having a car failure early on in the race. That is now 6 DNF’s so far this year. Unfortunately for Max the current landscape of open seats is limited so Red Bull is all he has. On the other hand, Daniel Ricciardo brought home a third place finish for Red Bull. After a disappointing race in Hungary this was well deserved.

Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez — Sahara Force India

Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez got into it once again. After clashes in Azerbaijan and Montreal they were told to focus on team goals. Midway through the race the two touched heading up to Eau Rouge. During the incident Perez lost his right rear tire and Ocon was forced to change his front wing. Despite team goals this provided fans with some pretty exciting action.

One of the more notable overtakes of the day has to be Lewis Hamilton on Kimi Raikkonen. Coming out of Eau Rough with minimal downforce Lewis passed on the left side of Kimi. This move just topped off a virtually perfect weekend for Lewis.

Next weekend we head to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix, diving right into the heart of Ferrari territory. This high speed circuit should again favour Ferrari and Mercedes power units. Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen will hope to bring home some big points for the Maranello outfit in front of the Tifosi.
