Haas is properly struggling in the 2019 Formula 1 standings. As a team, they are second last with 16 points, and the lowest team being Williams with zero. This is all coming after a reasonably promising 2018 season, but for whatever reason Haas has been unable to find the correct direction in 2019.

The major talking point has been their lack of understanding surrounding tire windows. All teams had to adjust, but Haas has seemingly adjusted the slowest. That being said, team principal of Haas, Gunther Steiner, is relying on fundamental changes for the German Grand Prix this weekend.

“There’s not one specific area we’re targeting. We’re just making the car, in general, better, more drivable with more downforce, which always helps you go fast”. — Gunther Steiner talking to Motorsport.com

Only time will tell for Haas. Plans have been made to use a split strategy, meaning Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen will be running different setups int their cars.

Practice will begin on Friday, and there’s lots of anticipation for fans. Hopefully this marks the beginning of Sebastian Vettel’s redemption tour after last years blunder in Germany, and his most recent incident in Britain.
