Max Verstappen continues 2019 consistency in Azerbaijan
The young Red Bull driver is having a relatively discreet yet strong performance in the opening rounds of the 2019 Formula 1 championship. With most of the drama surrounding Ferrari’s lack of success and Mercedes domination, Verstappen has snuck under the radar and is just one point behind third place, Sebastian Vettel.
Grabbing a podium in Australia, and three straight fourth-place finishes have put him in contention to fight with Ferrari. The team couldn’t ask for a much better performance than that. However, Mercedes is pulling away after four consecutive 1–2 finishes.
The season is still very young, but Verstappen has shown maturity in the opening four rounds. Moving forward, Red Bull will have their eyes on Monaco, especially after last years success with Daniel Ricciardo.
