31 Positive Ideas for December: #12: How to Make a Snowflake Thank You Ornament!
DIY Holiday Crafts: With Little Rosie’s Christmas Activity Corner.
The idea for this series of posts came about a few years ago. It is part of my book launch, for Rosie’s Christmas Wish, a delightful story about a little girl named Rosie who loves Christmas.
I crafted this blog series, Little Rosie’s Christmas Activity Corner, to share the joy of the holiday season. I present this series as a gift for all the children and others who keep the holidays dear in their hearts.
Holiday activity:
We worked on different holiday activities in my kindergarten class. The children developed their social and artistic skills through fun activities like art projects.
This is a simple hands-on activity that incorporates so many skills:
1. Math: counting, and number concept
2. Writing: list of eight words for the thank-you message
3. Art: shape recognition and pattern building
4. Visual-motor integration (Eye-hand coordination)
