Am I Boring?

No, no, don’t tell me, I really don’t want to know

See, I was writing about my recent trip to Spain which was great and not at all boring — at least not to me — when I realised that most of the story was about food. Food, food and more food. Maybe too much food which made me wonder if reading about all that food might be, well, boring. Even I was starting to get bored

So I stopped in the middle of it — I was definitely bored — and went through my e-mails, probably half of them were boring too. And then I came to one with this headline:

Are You Boring?

Well, how to resist? But first a picture of food, because . . . I like food. Especially food in Spain. If you’re bored, just move on.

Something delicious at a tapas bar in San Sebastian, Spain where everything was delicious

See here’s the thing. According to the article, deep down, one of our greatest fears is that we may be boring. The problem is that we may not know exactly what it is that makes us boring. So to get to the root of the problem, the article has a test to help you (or me) find out what we think makes someone interesting, meaning not boring.

At 68, I started a new chapter in my life: I moved to France. Alone. It turned out to be quite the page-turner. Still is — even when age insists on a part.
