The fire in the fireplace crackled and smoke danced along the spackled stone walls. The wind picked up and I heard thunder.
I surveyed the room. A wall of crystal skulls lined a shelf above rows of leather books. The books looked ancient as if they traveled from the old country with her family. Was there a purpose for the skulls?
Why would someone collect skulls made from different kinds of crystals?
