Why am I writing?
During my 18-month writing journey, this question kept popping into my head.
The answer: I enjoy writing.
Reason for intrinsic motivation
We need to depend on intrinsic motivation to sustain an activity.
- The external events will inspire us or dampen our mood.
- Most of the time, we will not have control over outside events
- We do not see the bigger picture
When intrinsic motivation does not drive us, we don’t follow what gives joy to our soul but obey the unsaid instruction that touches our lives through appreciation or rejection.
How can you develop intrinsic motivation?
Try every hobby that can make you happy.
Stick to those that take you to the flow state.
Repeat.
