How to Resurrect Old Articles to Life Using Twitter

It’s not scary, I promise

Be like Dr. Frankenstein and resurrect your old articles by using Twitter, giving new life to your content. Normally, when I write a long-form article, I try to get as much life out of it as possible. It is more than tweeting it when you first publish your work. But don’t spam your Twitter feed either. Balance is key.

For example, when I first publish a long-form article I create 2–3 tweets for that one article. I will tweet it when I first publish, using the “highlight” Medium feature to select a quote along with the link to the article. I schedule another tweet either for later that day or the next day. And schedule one more, another day out. For each of these tweets, I schedule for different parts of the day. One in the morning (CST), one in the afternoon, and one in the evening.

You can do the same with your older content. Go back to the beginning, especially if you have a lot of Medium content and are new to Twitter.

Bring those articles back to life.
