If Not Me, Who?
Depends on how you like to feel inside …
It’s the second time I’ve noticed bags of rubbish tossed on the verge of the fitness track where I walk daily.
One strewn a few months ago would have needed a large bag or two to remove everything that was there.
I thought about going home to get some, but I had an appointment later, so I put it out of my mind.
The next day, an older couple passed me, then stopped and asked if I thought the clothes might belong to a homeless person. I had no idea, but felt it could possibly have been left there in case a homeless person might chance upon it.
To be honest, it was not a great find, homeless or not. The clothes were not in good condition. They may have succumbed to the vagaries of the weather, who knows, but the best option was to bin them.
The next day, everything was gone, and papers as well as the takeaway coffee cups that had been carelessly tossed.
I’m betting it had been quietly taken care of by the couple I’d spoken to.
Kudos to them!
To be honest, we don’t get too much tossed rubbish on the track, which is great because I imagine a fair amount of money was spent converting the former railway line to the safe exercise area that it is.
