It Takes Two

To tango.

It takes two to tango,
Left foot, then the right,
Take flight with the fandango,
Then, dance right through the night.

On a loom, the twist and turns,
We weave our magic spell,
No longer does my sparse heart yearn,
Now, inside, you dwell.

Then we fall, and that’s not all,
We dissolve into each other,
Love has us in her thrall,
My new world fills with wonder.

Lost then found, up and around,
The trees reach for the sky,
Beauty magnifies the sound,
There’s only you and I

Fingers linked to my eyes will think,
The links are inseparable,
Two skaters on the ice rink,
The bonds are unbreakable.

Sitting in the sunshine,
Soaking up the sun,
In a while, our minds entwine,
Filled up and fed on, fun.

Mercury meanders,
Quicksilver finds her way,
As my mind, it wanders,
Though in my heart, you stay.

It takes two to tango,
Save the last dance and see,
Or trip the light fandango,
We’ll dance, just you and me.
