Thunder crashed, and lightning lit up the room. Witchy Woman loved these nights — usually. She liked to curl up with a good book. Tonight she was worried. Who was this woman? Is she on drugs? Should she call a doctor?

Does she expect me to give her a spell to stop Facebook friend requests?

She poured some tea and resumed her conversation with her friend, Bella.

“Bella, I think she’s having a psychotic break or something. She was agitated, irritable, and I think hallucinating. It’s bizarre.”

“Oh, I see what you mean by not normal. What’s she doing now?” asked Bella.

“She was so agitated I gave her some tea.”

“What kind of tea? Did you knock her out?”

“No, I did not knock her out. It was valerian root tea and she said she grows it. I couldn’t send her out in the storm and she kept freaking out. I think she thought my dried horseradish root was a pile of bones her eyes bugged out so big.”
