Weeks 19: My Poet’s Path BYOB Challenge
Blogging your own book of poetry.
Tip from the Poet’s Path: Sometimes, dividing a project into smaller parts simplifies the task and often makes it easier to complete.
As the third quarter of the year starts with the slow sizzle of summer, I continue my BYOB Challenge of my book The Grape Picker’s Daughter: A Book of Poetry.
I’m a month behind schedule because of the distractions of everyday life from the last quarter. Despite this setback, I remained determined to achieve my writing goals and publish this book sometime next quarter.
As I embark on the next stage of my poet’s path, I’m shifting my attention to the second section, which I refer to as The Middle Years. This part excavates the maturing roots of love, life, and faith, intertwining them with the threads of heartfelt moments. I sought to capture the ordinary moments of life, such as first loves, the wonders of marriage and motherhood, and the heartache of divorce.
