With the summer heat persisting, Week 21 fades into the warm hues of the season as we step toward the end of July. I’m diving deeper into the second section of my BYOB Challenge, immersing myself in The Middle Years of my book.

The Grape Picker’s Daughter: A Book of Poetry captures the simple moments of love or el amor while delving into its complexities. The poems illustrate ordinary moments in time, bathing them with the vibrant palette of love’s hues.

Occasionally, when I go back and excavate my poems again, they may take me in a different direction, recalling memories with just a minor change in the title.

This week An Ocean of Memories transformed into An Ocean of Emotions.

So often, when we think of love, most people focus on the sweet beginning of a new relationship. However, the journey of love is not always as sweet and simple as romantic dreams. For some, love can be bittersweet when things go awry.

It is the darker side of love that some of us must face when love changes with the tide of life. Sometimes, it vanishes, leaving us bewildered and…
