Week 23: My Poet’s Path BYOB Challenge
Blogging your own book of poetry: Third Quarter Planning.
Tip from the Poet’s Path: Sometimes it is often necessary to say no to everything else, to focus on your priorities and achieve your goals.
It’s already September, the last month of quarter three. But here in the San Joaquin Valley of California, the relentless one-hundred-degree temperatures make it feel like the peak of summer. Fall is just around the corner and the clock is ticking on my BYOB Challenge.
Unexpected delays plagued early August, throwing my writing schedule off track. Despite feeling unproductive and way behind schedule, I trudged through the last few weeks of the month.
Then when September flashed across my calendar, I knew it was time to take charge again, as they say, by grabbing the bull by the horns. I said no to everything else and focused on my five most important writing goals for the end of this quarter.
End of Third Quarter Writing Goals:
- I designed my third-quarter editorial schedule for September.
- I finished Part 3: The Moving On Years of The Grape Picker’s Daughter: A Book of Poetry.
By taking the time to complete this goal, I realigned myself with the path to finishing the BYOB Challenge.
