… surrounded by a beautiful support system

… the light that shines from within

… say hurtful things?

… have high standards and expect a lot from others?
… care about my family and friends?
… tend to take things too personally?

… enjoy having deep and nourishing conversations?
… enjoy playing games and having a laugh?

… my own worst critic sometimes?
… easily triggered?
… sensitive to what others say or don't say?
… easy going and fun to be around?
… patient with myself and others?
I am human
And I am more
I am fragile
And I am bold
I am soulful
And I am Spirit
I am wonderful
So let me hear it!
Written in February 2021. That ending though?! 😂 I didn’t want to share this poem because of the way it ends (“You’re too much here, Chantell! Too full of yourself!” my inner critique warns me), but I’m owning every piece of me! These words — owning every piece — are the title to the chorus of a song I’ve written that only has a chorus! At least for now…
