I have been assisting writers since I began on Medium. Originally, I helped them with their submission at The Daily Cuppa or The Daily Cuppa Grande.
It was messy for the editors, but they were patient with me and let me have my fun. As more editors joined the Cuppa team, I realized I was creating problems. They had to take their time to open stories to see if I was working with the writer.
It was rude of me.
I started using email but discovered I needed the fluidity of a Medium publication.
So I started a secret pub where I did not publish stories.
How it worked:
- I added a writer.
- I did advanced editing on the document, voice calls, or video calls depending on needs and goals.
- It can be a long process.
