64K Claps on a Story?

No — it isn’t mine, but it is a gem from my ‘lists’

This is the most action I’ve seen on any Medium story. It was written in 2019 but still attracts interest; the latest of the 358 comments was written a mere week ago.

You know it’s a good story when you don’t realize that you’ve been reading for ten minutes and reach the end.

You know it’s a good story when you feel the lump in your throat, tears welling in your eyes and a deep, visceral pain as you digest the author’s gut-wrenching words.

You know it’s a good story when your mind starts spinning about being in such an agonizing position — and hope like hell you never will be.

Jenny Harrington’s story Three Magical Phrases to Comfort a Dying Person deserves every ounce of attention.

Just read it…
