A chill has dropped and all this melt again
froze solid. Drips once more are frozen tight.
Too cold to hop on down the garden lane
That arctic air did sweep in overnight.

With howls that wake the sleeping with a fright.
A maple reaches, tries to catch my eye.
On cracked…
