Friday morning, as I walk down the hall to the twins’ rooms, I pull my red hair back into a ponytail to get it out of my face. Charlie is on the floor putting all of his things into a box.

“How’s it going, Charlie?”

He looks up at me with tears shining in his blue eyes and sniffles. “I’m almost done, Kee”
