A Moment with the Uhrturm in Graz
I had seen pictures of Graz’s iconic Uhrturm before but standing before it was an entirely different experience. The way its medieval wooden balcony jutted out like an old watchtower, overlooking the city below, felt like stepping into history.
As I walked up Schlossberg, the crisp Austrian air brushing against my face, I found myself slowing down, absorbing the moment. The massive clock face, with its reversed hands — the hour hand larger than the minute hand — was a quirky reminder that time flows differently here. Maybe it was a metaphor. Maybe it was just history playing a trick.
I sat on the stone ledge, watching locals and travelers alike marvel at this landmark.
For a moment, I let everything pause. No rush, no urgency — just me, the clock, and the sky
