A Summer Poem Swap Adds Sunshine To My Day

Personalized poems and little gifts are exchanged with joy and camaraderie

For several years, I’ve participated in an online poetry group called Poetry Friday. Poets, teachers, librarians, and others all gather online to post poems and share bits of themselves with others in the group.

It is a friendly and welcoming group of people that I’ve come to know and appreciate.

This summer, I participated in a summer swap. It is organized by a member of the group who gathers the names of those who want to participate. Every few weeks between June and August, swaps are sent out to those to whom you are assigned.

Yesterday, I got the cutest little handmade book in which to write haiku. The red mushroom begs to be in it.
