Allow Yourself to Make Mistakes
I goofed these pages up… and saved them.
The creative process is all about trial and error.
In reflecting on August spreads, I realized that some of the spreads or habits tracking I didn’t use. I either deleted or changed the format of them.
I also made mistakes when I created these pages. I added birthdays and concerts on the calendar, at the bottom, I messed up three days. So, sticker, rewrite, move on.
For the trackers, I needed 30 boxes. However, when it came time to draw the lines, I ended up with 50 boxes. So I used stickers to add beauty in the excess.
This is why I usually use a mechanical pencil first.
It’s so important to approach creativity with an open mind and being willing to make mistakes, it’s how we learn best.
