The ford at Dolliver Park, one of my favorite places. Katie Michaelson

As I end my day, I’m thankful for trees and all the things that grow from the earth. I love walking in the woods and wading in cool streams on my days gathering leaves and roots to dry for tinctures, soups, and teas. Or perhaps just to bring the shape and smell into my home.

We’re given so much. I’m thankful I learned how to look and see — what is there. There, for us. For each of us.
