I look out of our new windows. Our new apartment looks over the city of Manchester from well above the city. I see the people below beginning to put on more layers at the same time the trees lose their own.
Autumn has always been my favourite season. The duality of life and death, warm and cold at my fingertips. It has always felt like the most beautiful season with fires of orange and yellow leaves swirling in the wind.
Autumn, for me, signals change. While winter, to spring, to summer always feel like progress, autumn feels like change and autumn taught me that change is okay. That change can be safe, and change doesn’t mean the end. Change can be beautiful, and fiery, and full of passion.
Autumn has always been a constant source of comfort for me and for that, I am most grateful.
