Bees in Trees

Dangerous demolition

The ash tree at my father’s house stood up to 40 years of injury. It was struck by lightning my freshman year of college. Most recently, it was attacked by ash borers.

The tree still has a little life left in it. But it’s mostly gaping holes where woodpeckers dug out the infestation, then other animals moved in and made homes.
