Better mind your Ps and Qs: You never know what you will remember all your life.

Bernard Ray shared a refreshing memory of washing his face in cool spring water. It was a pleasant read as I’d just come in from the garden with dirty hands and feet.

I thought about how fortunate we are to have memories stored away. But some folks are haunted by bad stuff they did when younger.

The story of cold water reminded me of the first time I experienced hot running water. It felt so good. I’d run my hands under it until they were red.

Every chance I got!

I think of that every morning when I run the water to do my dishes. The hot water feels so good on my painful bent fingers.

Do you have memories like this: simple happy memories or haunting memories?
