Caffeine Withdrawal
Worse than hunger
We’re 45 days into our “Soft 75” challenge. Every day we do an hour of yoga stretches and drink at least a half-gallon of water over pre-challenge levels.
It was time to up the challenge a bit. We decided to do a week-long fast.
Our neighbor routinely does water-only fasts, at least once a month. We’re planning on doing a power cleanse (you eat only clay and psyllium husks).
To prepare for the cleanse, you need to alkalize your body. Get used to eating much less. And cut out caffeine.
No breakfast today. Lunch was a kiwi, plum, and a few hours later, a handful of sweet and standard potato cubes from the vegetable broth I made.
This is day 3 of no tea.
The headaches are awful.
It’s easier to give up food than caffeine.
