Can I Have a Moan About Thoughtless, Incompetent People?
There’s a saying, ‘If it doesn’t fit, don’t force it.’
We’ve all seen the memes on social media where comparisons are made with adults stuffing their suitcases into the overhead airplane bin and toddlers mastering a post-the-block game.
I live in an apartment building. Garbage is to be thrown down the 15x15-inch chute.
Lately, some wise residents — she says sarcastically — have blocked it because they shoved something bigger into the space. Worse still, it’s often boxes, which are recyclable.
Tenants are lazy, ignorant and selfish.
But what if the waste is bigger? There’s nowhere to put it.
When I had kittycats, I would want to change the entire litter box periodically. I felt bad leaving it beside a bin in the garage that’s meant to catch the takeout wrappers.
Admin hadn’t thought of that — until I emailed them. They acknowledged my concern but didn’t offer a solution.
So, now, who’s thoughtless and incompetent?
