Peanut butter, chocolate, and bananas pair perfectly for a delicious smoothie.

I always have frozen bananas in my freezer for smoothie bowls or one of these types of sweet treats.

Here’s one of my favorites.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 frozen ripe bananas
  • 3 Tbsp cocoa
  • 3 Tbsp peanut butter or PB2
  • 1 Tbsp flax seed
  • 1 cup almond or soy milk
  • 3/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp cacao nibs (sprinkle on top)
  • Optional * 1–2 Tbsp maple syrup or 2 pitted Medjool dates

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients except the cacao nibs to the blender.
  2. Blend until creamy and smooth.
  3. Adjust milk if too thick, one tablespoon at a time.
  4. Adjust for taste. If you prefer more chocolate or peanut butter, try a teaspoon at a time.
  5. Add optional sweetener if desired.
  6. Top with the cacao nibs and serve.
