Crassula ovata: Plant of Luck and Legacy is more commonly known as Jade Plant, Money Plant, or even the Friendship Tree. For some, this succulent symbolises prosperity, wealth, and good fortune.
In many cultures, gifting a Jade Plant at the start of a business or placing one near the entrance of a home is thought to invite success.
Easy to care for, and long-lived, it is often passed down through generations like a living heirloom. Some older plants develop gnarled, bonsai-like trunks. In feng shui, it is a living magnet for positive energy, often gifted as a token of hope or celebration.
Despite its associations with wealth, Crassula ovata asks little: just sunlight, a modest drink now and then, and patience. In return, it offers positivity in every way. Or, in the case above — it is vigorously guarding this house!
