All we are fed is an idea of love, a trending product that needs public subscription.
Is love an expresso to feed our mornings? Is dating, mating, social media drama, movie nights actually love?
Spending time together is a mistaken concept of love. Many marriages that have lasted decades can still be loveless and unhappy. Whereas truly enjoying each other’s company, accepting each other’s flaws, and being supportive is more love than the candy-fed concept sold to us. When you can be yourself without fear, guilt, or shame.
Love can be growing a plant together, to speak your mind freely, and eventually the courage of being completely vulnerable in front of the other.
Don’t let them define what love should mean to you. Love is yours to define.
