Fabulous French Pastries
Ooh la la!
We finished our brunch at Mojo’s bakery/café with baked delights.
The display counter had 3 shelves. The bottom shelf featured centerpiece-worthy 6" and 9" cakes. The center shelf contained eclairs, tarts, and individual cake slices. The top shelf contained cookies, macarons, and breads.
We each ordered something different and shared. My strawberry eclair contained strawberry mousse inside as well as strawberry-topped cream. It was heavenly.
My husband’s opera cake had 6, 7, or 8 layers (we got different counts). Since every layer was a variety of chocolate, he loved it. One layer was mocha chocolate, though, so it wasn’t for me.
Our guest ordered the mango coconut eclair (see photo below). It was a thin cookie with a jelly-coated, cream-wrapped strip of mango on top. It was much tastier than it sounds!
