Jimmy packed up his bass, and looked around the bar.
The woman he had met on the sidewalk earlier, wasn’t there.
He felt a little disappointed that he hadn’t said more to her.
“Nice playing tonight,” William said.
“Oh, thanks. Yeah it was fun,” Jimmy responded.
It was true. Jimmy had started to enjoy himself.
After his panic attack during the first set, he felt like he was doing what he was supposed to be doing all along.
Maybe it was the cold November air.
Or maybe it was the smile from the woman on the sidewalk.
Whatever it was, Jimmy felt like he was headed in the right direction for the first time in a long time.
