First Snowfall 2023
paired with a mountain survival read!
Katie Michaelson challenged me yesterday to write about a “snow day”.
The first snowfall of 2023 was this past week. I stayed inside, wrapped up in a warm blanket and reading Breathless by Amy McCulloch.
It was a tad bit ironic that as I’m reading a snowy mountain thriller, here comes the snow!
Yet it also made me think of past first snows. There were a lot I spent in the drive thru at my old job. There was the time six weeks after I was married. The snow making me feel the new season, making me happy.
Snow draped landscapes are beautiful. They’re always reminding me of a blank page. A page that could have anything written on it.
