These native asters bloom with abandon
on the edge of this leaky waterfall.
Mother Nature had the largest hand in
hydroponics on this unplanted wall.

Near this fast moving overhanging sluice
where water leaves greenhouse into the pond,
maybe those croaking frogs did introduce
half eaten rhizome up here while…
