Fun with Text to Speech Function

I stumbled upon John Gruber’s article on productivity with WORD. Out of curiosity, I clicked on the microphone icon to experiment.

Note to readers: I have added paragraphs to make reading easier. The dictate feature will type a long sentence with no full stops/punctuations.

Here goes…

“I just discovered I could dictate my thoughts by turning on the dictate feature on Microsoft — no by clicking it — no by pressing it.”

“Oh, no wait I’m still thinking out loud — but you’re typing already”

“no wait wait”

“OK, this has to be a little bit smarter”

“how about some paragraphs — OK I’m talking to my laptop now”

“Damn it— Oh gosh — wait”

“You even typed my ‘old’ gosh, my whining, — you type me whining!!”

— End of speech.
