“Has anyone seen the salt?”
This has been the constant question around our house for the past two weeks.
Everyone who knows us knows my partner is the cook in our family. Sure, I make kid lunches, reheat leftovers, and dabble in cookies, pies, and cakes — but I’m not the one who plans meals, spends hours chopping veggies, testing recipes, tending to yeast cultures, and making sure we’re all fed. My partner does all that. He likes to — (and he knows if it were up to me, we’d eat a lot of cereal and meals that end in “surprise.”)
The thing is, he got injured.
And while he’s okay, his mobility is currently limited.
So what does that mean for us?
It means the salt goes missing.
And, if I’m not too distracted, I’ll tell you why tomorrow.
