“God sent me to save them. ”(Neeraj Chaudhary, captain of oil tanker)

Two men and their dog stared at death on a turbulent sea and came back alive thanks to an alert and conscientious ship captain.

Kevin Hyde, 65, Joe DiTommasso, 75, and his poodle Minnie, sailed from North Carolina aboard a sailboat on December 03. A severe storm damaged the mast and they were pushed farther into the rough sea.

On the tenth day, they almost ran out of food and water.

Fortunately, an officer aboard the Dutch oil tanker Silver Muna spotted them. The crew used a cargo net to pull the trio aboard.

The ship’s humble captain said, “It is our duty, it is our duty what we have done.”

I salute the captain who saved 3 lives.
