How can you take a Shakespeare class and NOT talk about Romeo and Juliet?

So I’m taking a Context in Writing and a Shakespeare class this term. The Context in Writing class I think is going to be amazing.

I go check the syllabus for the Shakespeare class and there’s no reading of Romeo and Juliet. What the crap? How in the crap do you teach Shakespeare and not talk about Romeo and Juliet? How is this even a thing?
