I didn’t realize it was football season already. The Philadelphia Eagles were playing, and my husband wanted to watch his favorite team.

Because we live so far from the East Coast, our TV stations don’t cover many of their games. This game was as close to a special occasion as it gets around here, so my husband wanted to make an appetizer instead of dinner.

Our go-to recipe is Alton Brown’s Hot Spinach & Artichoke Dip. Cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise…
