I love a cold winter afternoon when the sun is shining, the air is crisp, and I have nowhere to be.

I sit in my newly remodeled sitting room/office looking at the barrenness of my back yard thinking about all that’s happening beyond my ability to see.

Leaves and twigs decompose, larvae age, bacteria, and fungi work together to create rich soil that will nourish my flowers and veggies come spring. Worms estivate and will awaken with the earth. Evergreens…
