I love this time of the year as it is corn season…

There’s nothing better than to chomp into a freshly picked ear of corn that is slathered in butter, salt and pepper.

A mere 5 minutes in a boiling pot of water is all it takes to prepare this treat — after you have removed the husks and all those pesky strands.

I seldom ate it as a child as my Dad did not like it. Corn and mushrooms were the only foods he loathed, so Mum rarely…
