When was the last time someone cared enough to ask how you were and truly listened to what you had to say?

One key to becoming an exceptional listener is to avoid a common habit: refrain from planning your reply while the other person is still speaking. Being aware of this can result in more meaningful and impactful conversations. Paying full attention while listening encourages a mindful state. You are fully present and engaged when having a conversation with another person.

Maybe we can hold onto this reminder for the future when we ask our friend, “Are you okay?”
