Member-only story
As you hurtle mindlessly forward, you seldom stop long enough to contemplate the subtle threads that connect the past with the now. You drift along, barely conscious, until Life suddenly corners you into a moment, and everything comes to a screeching halt.
During those involuntary pauses, you take solace lounging in the picture gallery of the brain. When light splinters into darkness, shadows twirl before your hazy eyes. Images from the dusty recesses come knocking on the door of your heart like a distant relative. Soon, another thought takes over the mind. In the quiet dark, light and shadow dance to the silent tune on ivy-covered walls. You soar on the commingling of curiosity, surprise, and bewilderment.
Perhaps somewhere in the distant void of nothingness, the wholeness of moments merges with the stillness of the heart. And in that vastness of space, Life happens.
