International Women’s Day Adventures

Last year on International Women’s Day my biggest adventure was a trek to the dentist.
My hygienist greeted me with a smile and a wish for a wonderful International Women’s Day! While she worked on my teeth she talked about the important women in her life, those she knew personally, and those with global-reaching significance. Her admiration for women has remained with me.
As we approach International Women’s Day (8 March 2023), I intend to celebrate women by embarking on two new writing adventures:
- Pay tribute to a woman writer by utilizing a line or phrase as a prompt for a story.
- Pay tribute to three women in my own life by creating handmade cards with small anecdotes of our time together.
