It was above zero today — the temperature, not my earnings. So I decided to get fixed up and get out of the house.

Tea and a chat with Katie

I got all dressed up to drop off Bill — my water bill.

I wore black slacks and a black silk shirt which I topped with a black alpaca wool sweater. A gold jacket with black trim was perfect. All set. After grabbing my black leather phone bag, gold and black scarf, and gold gloves, I set off.

The air was crisp and I felt young and classy.

I went to Dollar General because we don’t have a Walmart in my little village.

Feeling regal, I went to the wine shop and the art gallery.

Yes, it was a nice little outing.

It felt good to get into some decent clothes.

Back at home, I dropped all my odds and ends and the black bags. Put my black-lined gold jacket on the hall tree. Then sat down to read a book. I put my feet up and…

HOT PINK FUZZY SOCKS!

So much for being all dressed up.
