Let’s Explore a Fruit Today
A mindfulness exercise to slow down
- Pick a fruit of your choice — an orange/apple/strawberry/banana/peach/mango . . .
- Observe its features.
- What does it feel like?
- What does it smell like?
- Now gently peel the fruit, continuing to tune in to each sense.
- Notice any emotions, thoughts, or experiences you have during this process.
- Do not get distracted by any of it. Focus on the fruit.
Finally, slowly eat the fruit, relishing its flavor, taste, and your feelings as you enjoy it.
You can do this with any food item of your choice!
