Mother’s Day Meanderings

I’m a mother of three boys who are now all young adult men ranging from 23 to 30 years of age. Being their mom has been my most important job.

Today, our middle son is here. He came to the cabin on Friday and is still here tonight. It’s been a good visit. We love to spend time with our boys. It’s nice that they’re all adults now. We appreciate the time they spent with us.

I think of myself as a low-maintenance mom. But I am well cared for, which may make me less demanding. Both my husband’s mom and my mom have passed away. Both could be demanding at times. I don’t want to be like that.

On Mother’s Day, I want to relax. I gardened. I took a nap. I heard from all my children — a great Mother’s Day!
