My mother’s always been the grandmother of all grandmothers. She’s loving, family-oriented, and immensely involved.

As the grandkids grew and expanded with husbands and partners, my mother’s status increased, and she embraced it with pride.

A few months back, she held a brunch at her home. All her grandchildren and children were there — and so were her great-grandchildren.
