My task today was to pick up my oldest son from the airport. He’s flying down from Townsville for a holiday. The airport is 20 minutes from my house.
I’ve collected many people from the airport on previous occasions, so I have perfected the pick-up procedure. What I didn’t count on was a thunderstorm. Actually, a downpour, a hailstorm, a cloudburst and a tornado all in one. I was driving blind underwater. I was terrified.
